GSM-FXS Gateway
Introduction
Most of the businesses have existing investments made in traditional wired-line telecom infrastructure known as Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS). This investment could be in the form of PBX, phones and wiring. GSM networks offer wide coverage. The calls made to GSM networks are increasing, and hence organizations end up paying excessive interconnection fees of landlines to GSM calls. Matrix GSM gateway interfaces GSM networks to existing telephony infrastructure. Calls can thereby be routed through the GSM SIM plugged in the gateway. Further, the gateway comes in a multi-port configuration, providing the flexibility to select between the multiple GSM services providers with the automated Least Cost Routing algorithms.
The GSM Gateway for Traditional PBX System
This equipment is the multi-port GSM gateway. Existing PBX users can avail the low tariff of GSM networks by connecting this equipment with the PBX without changing their existing infrastructure. The users continue to make and receive calls without worrying on which network their calls are routed. This equipment routes the calls either on GSM or POTS network depending on the destination numbers dialed by the users.
Intelligent and flexible routing is forte of this equipment. Least Cost Routing (LCR) algorithm encompasses dialed number based routing facilitating selection of the most cost-effective route. Numbers received from calling network are converted by Automatic Number Translation (ANT) to match with the numbering plan of the destination network
This equipment is very easy to install and operate. In addition, the Jeeves (a Windows based multi-lingual GUI tool) is supplied to configure various parameters. Antenna mixers (4 to 1) are built-in and hence only one antenna is required. This equipment can be mounted on a wall or any table surface.
The Stand-alone GSM to FXS Gateway
The Stand-alone GSM FCT comes in a very compact foot-print. It provides multiple GSM channels and can handle calls on all the ports simultaneously allowing full traffic on all ports. Hence, this equipment behaves as an ideal solution in stand-alone applications such as remote project sites, constructional sites, maritime applications, temporary office set-up and SOHO applications.
