On 03/17/2012, VNPT signed a contract of insurance with the Insurance Corporation of Post and Telecommunications (PTI) and Bao Viet to insure the VINASAT-2 project at a cost of about $ 20 million, equivalent to premium of VINASAT-1 satellite has even greater capacity.
